(AP) — MADISON, Wis. — A Democrat running for an open state Assembly seat is refusing to let the public view her old tweets ripping conservatives.
Ann Groves Lloyd’s tweets include remarks calling former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney a “douche nozzle,” the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Monday. She called Gov. Scott Walker her worst enemy and declared the governor immoral and reprehensible.
She also liked numerous tweets critical of President Donald Trump, responded favorably to an article on the success of the Democratic Socialists of America and liked a tweet that called U.S. Sen. John McCain a “dishonest, bizarrely unhinged, little man.”
