Reports of a North Korean threat to the U.S. mainland may be overblown. But if you’ve lagged on your survival preparation game, there’s no better time than the present to evaluate your disaster readiness.

According to reports, sales of bomb shelters designed to protect from nuclear attack are currently on the rise in the western U.S., where a North Korean nuclear strike would be most likely to hit.

But a North Korean nuclear strike on the U.S. is less likely than an attack from the country that could potentially disrupt critical U.S. infrastructure via an EMP detonation.
