Modern politics is the art of pacifying the workers and producers of wealth. Politics and the political process is a perpetual psychic system for creating a perpetual hallucinatory mentality for the mass mind.
It is psychic persuasion that coerces the people individually and collectively to imagine they have political and economic freedom despite not having it.
Take for instance the last “attempt” by the Senate to repeal Obamacare. First, let’s get it out of our head that Obamacare equals healthcare. Nothing could be further from the truth. Obamacare is an insurance, Big Pharma, Big Medicine subsidy and wealth transfer bill. The left co-opted the term “healthcare” in order to sell the American people on the notion that healthcare is a right.
And there was no stomach at all for repealing the fascist Obamacare insurance subsidy system beyond a handful of the most conservative and/or the most endangered Senators. The rest were content with the status quo because they 1) enjoy Cadillac health insurance policies for themselves and 2) their sugar daddy corporation benefactors are happy with the status quo system that enriches them by forcing more people onto insurance backed by money from the Federal treasury.
Despite seven years of promises to repeal Obamacare, seven Republican Senators voted against a full repeal, and five more voted against the partial repeal. And when the final effort came to vote on some sort of quasi-repeal, three senators voted against the so-called “skinny repeal.” Susan Collins (Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) had been consistent in their opposition to repealing Obamacare. But John McCain (Arizona), who had run in 2016 promising constituents he would vote to repeal, stepped the front of room in dramatic fashion at the end of the vote and turned his thumb down to gasps from the floor and gallery.
