Michael Savage: I won’t jump Trump’s ship

Radio giant Michael Savage, whom President Donald Trump has credited as a key to his victory last November, told his listeners Wednesday that amid a relentless “assault” by the “government-media complex,” the president “continues to do the job we sent him to Washington to do.”

“Now, if you think I’m going to abandon him like all the ‘Never-Trumpers,’ if you think I’m going to stab him in the back and jump ship because all the others are doing it, I’m not going to do that,” Savage said.

Savage said he refuses to “join the chorus of those who were for (Sen. Ted) Cruz or for any of the other lessers who could not win.”

“They’re now sticking a knife in Trump’s back as he is in trouble,” the talk host said. “The answer is stick a knife in the other party’s back, not in his back.”

After winning accolades on his trip to the Middle East and Europe, Trump returned last week to the ongoing investigations and anonymous-sourced establishment-media stories about alleged campaign collusion with Russia.

Savage said that if he were Trump, he would hire 100 aggressive “Roy Cohn-like lawyers” who would “investigate all of those who were persecuting me with these false charges,” referring to Sen. Joseph McCarthy’s chief counsel, who later mentored Trump.

“I would put 10 investigators on every senator, every congressman, every reporter who has it in for me,” he said. “And once I turn over every rock in their lives and I expose what’s real about their pollution, you will see most of this will go away.”

Savage, who launched a petition drive this month asking Trump to demand that Britain remove him from its travel ban, said it’s “astonishing to me how successful propaganda can be.”

“It’s shocking to me how they can take a man like Donald Trump, as flawed as he is, and turn him into a villain,” Savage said. “A villain he is not. Flawed he is. And how by attacking Trump what they’re really doing is attacking the Americans who voted for Trump.”

Savage said that by attacking Trump, the media and its political allies are saying: “Drop dead on the border with Mexico. We love the drugs. We love the crime. We love the illegal aliens. We love the meth dealers pouring over the border. We love the throat cutters with tattoos. We want more of them in our cities, because we love the drug trade.”

“They’re attacking the core of the nation. They’re attacking every last one of us that voted for Trump,” Savage said.

He said the “battle lines are drawn,” and “I’m not jumping ship just because you think it is convenient to do so! I am a loyal man!”

What do YOU think? Is Donald Trump’s presidency in danger? Sound off in today’s WND poll!

Savage asked why, for eight years, regardless of what Obama did, the media insisted he should not be criticized.

“No matter how he abused the taxpayer; no matter what nefarious deal he was involved in. $150 billion sent to Iran? Where’d the money come from?” Savage asked.

“Where were all the brave Wolf Blitzers and Jake Tappers at that time? How come they didn’t raise one voice of protest?”

WND reported earlier this month Savage recalled predicting three weeks before the November election that if Trump won, the Democrats would claim his victory was illegitimate, tying it to Russian interference. It was during the October interview, that Trump told Savage that if he won the White House, he might meet with Putin prior to the inauguration.

On May 10, Savage dedicated his show to asking listeners for their input on how to save the Trump presidency. Savage said Trump should begin with curbing his use of social media and his reliance on family members for advice. And he urged the president to back off on his public presence.

WND also reported this month Internet news powerhouse Matt Drudge claimed advisers to President Trump who were leaking information to news media were “deliberately sabotaging” his presidency.

The only definition of ‘covfefe’ you need to know

Mainstream media outlets spent most of Monday morning trying to define “covfefe,” a nonsense word people noticed in an incomplete predawn tweet dispatched by the president.

“Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” said Trump’s tweet.

Enter mainstream media…

The Washington Post exclaimed: “Trump targets ‘negative press covfefe’ in garbled midnight tweet that becomes worldwide joke”

Time declared: “Merriam-Webster Couldn’t Even Deal With President Trump’s ‘Covfefe’ Tweet”

The Nation weighed in: “The Covfefe Is Often Worse Than The Crime”

NPR noted: “‘Covfefe’ Kerfuffle: Trump’s Typo Sparks A Search For Meaning, And Humor”

CNN took the cake, though, using the tweet to portray Trump as a sort of child dictator:

What we have today — and, really, what we have had since the day Trump came into the White House — is a deeply isolated President who spends lots of time, particularly at night and in the early morning, watching TV and tweeting.

That lack of discipline reveals that there is simply no one who can tell Trump “no.” Or at least no one whom he will listen to.

There were too many more to list. But they all shared one underlying theme: A desire to say to readers, “Look! Over here! The president is a moron! See! He can’t make a sentence! Covfefe, HA!”

If you don’t believe me, read a few of them.

Or don’t… it certainly isn’t going to make you any smarter.

Trump did the smart thing and played along with the Twitter/MSM explosion.

After all, the reports on “covfefe” were a welcome respite from constant screeching about “collusion” with Russia. And, hey, the mainstream press at least has evidence of the Trump tweet.

But in their haste to make the president look like an idiot, the MSM failed to provide any meaningful commentary about the circumstances that may have surrounded the Trump tweet.

I know, I know… asking the press to provide “commentary” seems a lot like begging for media bias.

But think about how the headlines on an unfinished tweet sent out in the wee hours may have read under the Obama administration… I’m thinking there’d have been a whole bunch of: “Obama’s early morning Twitter typo illustrates toll of presidential pressure.”

The president, we hope, is a busy guy. Far too busy to spend more than a minute or so updating his social media feed.

Of course, Obama enjoyed a different MSM reception than both his predecessor and his successor. He was the media’s cool kid, sandwiched between two clowns.

Rather than reexplain the obvious, let’s move on. I promised a definition for “covfefe.”

Without further ado…

COVFEFE-  a condition which arises when members of the mainstream press have their heads so far up their own asses, they can’t differentiate between an actual controversy and a manufactured political scandal. Journalists suffering the condition may exhibit symptoms, such as: publishing stories based entirely on unverifiable sources, expressing shock over the results of elections they called prior to voting, increasingly rapid oscillation between screams of “racism” and “sexism” in reports that are often about nothing at all, and calling any information with which they disagree “fake.” Resulting complications include total loss of press credibility and the erosion of the 1st Amendment.

Elon Musk issues threat if Trump drops Paris accord

(CNBC) — Tesla CEO Elon Musk threatened Wednesday to stop advising President Donald Trump if the White House withdraws from the Paris climate accords.

Asked on Twitter what he would do if Trump pulled out of the landmark global deal to curb emissions, Musk said he would “have no choice but to depart [the] councils in that case.”

Trump tweeted Wednesday that he will announce his decision on the Paris deal “over the next few days” as he faces intense pressure from the deal’s supporters and detractors. Reports Wednesday indicated that he is expected to withdraw from the climate agreement, though some news outlets cautioned that he had not made a final decision.

Islamists moving to U.K. for ‘freedom’ for radical Islam

(BREITBART) — A growing number of radical Muslims are flocking to move from France to Britain, where generous welfare payments, lack of scrutiny from the authorities, and the ease with which families can practice strict Islam have earned the UK a reputation as a halal paradise for Salafists who are unable to secure visas for Saudi Arabia.

French newspaper L’Obs reports that Small Heath, a neighbourhood of Birmingham where 95 per cent of residents practise Islam, is one of the most popular spots for French Muslims seeking a new home where women can wear the full face veil. The garment has been banned since 2010 in France.

“Daesh [ISIS] isn’t here, and no one is looking at you,” explained Dounia, a woman of Moroccan origin who moved to Small Heath from France with her husband Karim and his four children a year ago.

Hannity: See wildest ‘fringe conspiracy theories’ promoted by left

Sean Hannity

Sean Hannity

It has long been a key part of the left’s playbook to smear conservative political opponents in broadcasting by creating a “controversy,” linking the opponent to the controversy and then asking advertisers why they associate with someone who is so “controversial.”

The result, all too often, has been predictable: Companies want to avoid offending any customers so they withdraw their advertising from those unfairly labeled.

But now it’s time for the “equalizer,” or in this case the MediaEqualizer.com, which is doing for liberals and progressives the same thing far-left operations like Media Matters claim to have been doing to conservatives for years: exposing them.

The newly launched website on Wednesday displayed headlines including “Why does Rachel Maddow so often embrace fringe conspiracy theories?” and “Rachel Maddow Show: Advertisers and contact information.”

The conservative pushback comes just as the attacks against Fox News’ Sean Hannity have reached their peak.

Hannity explained, in an interview with radio show host Mark Levin, that he’s always supported free speech for all, even those with whom he disagrees. But the left-wing’s campaign to silence conservatives now has gone too far, and the progressives’ own craziness soon will be out there for all to see.

“We’ve done a very deep dive,” he told Levin. “I don’t know when I’m going to release it, but I’m coming out with it. No. 1, where the money’s coming from. No. 2, you want to talk about outrageous, insane, incendiary, over-the-top, vicious, vile hatred … and the things that have been done and said.”

He’s targeting groups he blames on the machinations of twice- failed Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton and far-left money manipulator George Soros.

“Hillary helped found this group, Soros funds it,” he said. “It’s a concerted effort to silence talk radio, destroy the Fox News channel. They sense blood in the water. They want to do it before 2018, 2020. It’s about whether we as a society are going to support freedom of speech.”

Hear Hannity’s interview with Levin:

“These [progressives] have never been hit back,” Hannity said. “I don’t know what the end result is going to be. … Somebody has got to say enough. We’re going to fight fire with fire.”

The new website explains it has been formed in response to “recent moves by leftist groups to silence opposition voices.”

Conservative radio hosts across the nation are joining the effort.

Longtime host Phil Valentine said: “Too many of us in broadcasting stand idly by while our colleagues are destroyed by people who claim to love diversity except when it comes to diversity of thought. We stand on the sidelines while colleges cancel speeches by speakers who a violent, vocal minority don’t want to hear. We climb back into the cozy confines of what’s acceptable speech instead of standing on the battlefield of free speech, shoulder-to-shoulder with our brethren who endure these withering attacks.”

The website cites the recent attack on Hannity by progressives who have posted a list of his show’s advertisers. They claim it’s not a boycott, but several companies dropped their sponsorship, only to find an uprising among their customers that led them to reverse course. Among them was USAA, which enraged customers when it adopted a “censor-Hannity” position.

Founded by talk hosts Brian Maloney and Melanie Morgan, the site goes straight after one of the top left-wing talkers, Maddow.

“When she can’t easily explain misbehavior by her own side, Maddow readily embraces baseless allegations. During the early days of his seemingly endless series of scandals, Maddow defended former Congressman Anthony Weiner and pushed a seemingly crazy Twitter hacking conspiracy.”

Maddow discussed theories that Weiner’s social media accounts were hacked and it wasn’t really him sending porn-level images. (It was, and he admitted it.)

“After the Boston Marathon bombings, Maddow promoted outlandish conspiracies, denying that Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev were Islamic jihadists, claiming they had books on ‘Zionism’ and were actually influenced by opposition to U.S. foreign policy,” the site says.

Struggling to defend Obamacare, she claimed that “opponents were planning actual ‘assassinations.’”

“Are we now operating in a political environment which is not just politics as usual, which is not just a rowdy debate. Has enough kerosene been poured on the flames that the possibility of violence, even assassination, is being posited as a real political tactic in the United States?” she asked at the time.

The site lists Maddow’s show sponsors, including AARP, Eli Lilly, Cisco Systems and Progressive Insurance.

The website doesn’t mention a boycott, but responses to the listing make it clear what customers think.

“It’s time for ALL conservatives to fight back. With our wallets!” wrote Maria Connie Reyes.

On his own show, Hannity pointed out the huge conspiracy theory advanced Democrats in recent months – the Trump campaign-Russia “connection.”

See he comments:

The claim is pursued by the left even though they, themselves, have admitted there’s no evidence, he pointed out. Meanwhile, cases such as the Washington, D.C., murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich are being covered up even though there are legitimate unanswered questions, such as why his murder was classified by police as a robbery when nothing was taken, critics contend.

There also are claims Rich may have been the source for the WikiLeaks release of thousands of Democrat emails during the 2016 presidential race.

His name came up after WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said the Russians were the source of the emails, as Democrats repeatedly have claimed.

Hannity announced on his show he would no longer talk about the Rich case, in deference to the family’s wishes. But he also said he would continue investigating.

He said the left is trying to deliver to him a “kill shot.”

“This has been a tactic that has been used against other conservatives in the past, with a certain degree of success,” he said.

Hannity said programs such as his are the “only opposition” to the left-wing and socialist agenda for America.

Former congressional candidate Joe Miller posted comments from Jordan Schachtel, who said the “devastating scoop and damning evidence” Hannity is assembling apparently is about Media Matters President Angelo Carusone, the organization’s finances, and “things said and done” by members.

MediaEqualizer.com says: “While we prefer not to be involved in this type of effort, we need to be on equal footing. We will continue to announce the advertisers that finance these efforts and support these hosts who allow lies and conspiracy theories to permeate the airwaves.

“If Media Matters ceases these type of assaults, we will do the same.”

“Fight fire with fire,” Hannity said. “This liberal fascism has to stop.”

WND reported earlier this week that USAA was reinstating its advertising on Hannity’s nightly show following “backlash from military members and veterans groups.”

At virtually the same time, Hillary Clinton’s former campaign chief, John Podesta, was doubling down, claiming the Russians were “very active in propagating and distributing fake news” and blaming Hannity for helping them.

FoxNews.com removed a May 16 story about the Rich case, explaining it didn’t meet the broadcaster’s editorial standards. But Fox News said it would continue to investigate the case.

Hannity said he was not withdrawing or retracting any of his reporting on the case.

And Hannity has affirmed he plans to stay with Fox News.

In a separate campaign, Media Research Center is publicizing the advertisers that support 10 “leftist shows and on-air personalities who use their programs to spread vicious lies and hate.”

MRC President Brent Bozell said: “We are putting the radical left on notice that we are on to them. We know the inside-outside game that radical organizations are playing with their leftist allies in the ‘news’ media. The radical left’s effort to silence conservative media by targeting their advertisers with coordinated smear campaigns has gone unanswered, but today is the day the conservative movement fights back, but with a big difference: We’ll tell the truth. And we’ll take no prisoners.”

Identified are advertisers for shows such as “Politics Nation with Al Sharpton,” “Hardball with Chris Matthews” and “Anderson Cooper 360.”

Cops ‘think man joking’ when he says girlfriend being raped

(INDEPENDENT) — An emergency call handler asked a man if he was joking when he reported his girlfriend’s ongoing rape by a machete-wielding attacker, it has been reported.

Police in Germany have launched a review after admitting they mishandled two emergency calls from a terrified camper who had been threatened with the knife before the rapist dragged his girlfriend away.

The officer who took his first call asked him: “You aren’t messing with me, are you?” After enquiring about his name and location, and promising to send help, the Bonn Police operator hung up, according to the Rheinische Post.

Duterte hits back at Chelsea Clinton

(DAILY MAIL) Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte has denounced Chelsea Clinton as he tried to defend a ‘joke’ he made about his troops raping women.

The controversial president – who has overseen the murder of thousands of drug users and has now declared martial law as he fights an ISIS insurgency – used Clinton’s father’s affair with Monica Lewinsky to attack the former first daughter.

Chelsea joined a chorus of condemnation of Duterte’s remark that his soldiers could rape up to three women each and he would ‘take responsibility’ after declaring martial law in the city of Marawi.
