“Check the brothels” was the advice given by a Twitter user who heard former President Bill Clinton had gone “missing” Monday.
“Did anyone check Hooters?” tweeted another man.
“Quick, check under the Resolute desk,” suggested one person.
“Or locate all the interns!” one tweeted.
“He’s with Monica,” another replied.
Twitter is exploding with suggestions concerning where to look for the former president known for his steamy sex romps and extracurricular activities with women other than his wife, Hillary. Even recently, Clinton was said to be cheating on Hillary with a blond mistress code named “Energizer” by Secret Service agents.
The flurry of tips came in response to a Monday tweet from NBC News’ senior news editor and writer Bradd Jaffy, who tweeted: “In unexpected news, Bill Clinton is working with James Patterson on a suspense novel, ‘The President is Missing.’”
Twitter user “Cade Basil Huskinson” offered a tip for an extended version of the original title: “The President is Missing … His Pants.”
But “California Kid” revealed the “full title” of the book: “The President is Missing His Wedding Ring and He’d Better Find It Before Hillary Finds Out.”
And “A.J. Powers” offered a subtitle: “Tracking the Intern.”
“Chuck Runamok” chime in: “Nevermind, he was just in the coat closet with the intern. Case closed.”
“Christie” tweeted: “Bill Clinton came up with this wistful title ‘The President is Missing’ when he still thought Hillary would be POTUS.”
Other tweets included:
- “Oh, I thought they were going to call it ‘Put Some Ice on That,” wrote “Cold Dead Cadaver,” referring to Clinton’s reported advice to Juanita Broaddrick after he allegedly raped her in 1978.
- “Spoiler alert: He was in the broom closet with an intern the whole time,” said “Drew Paul.”
- “Wondering if it refers to the [disgraced Wall Street mogul and registered sex offender Jeffrey] Epstein weekends … he went missing a few times then,” tweeted “Storm Roaringwater.”
Some Twitter users wondered if the “missing” president actually refers to President Donald Trump.
“Are they trying to get a plan to disappear Trump?” asked “Joe Nilo,” possibly alluding to the long and legendary “Clinton death list.”
The novel by Clinton and Patterson is set for release in June 2018. The book will be a joint release from publishers Alfred A. Knopf and Little, Brown and Co.
In a statement to the Associated Press Monday, the publishers said the book will be “a unique amalgam of intrigue, suspense and behind-the-scenes global drama from the highest corridors of power. It will be informed by details that only a president can know.”
Clinton told the AP he has thoroughly enjoyed the project.
“Working on a book about a sitting president – drawing on what I know about the job, life in the White House and the way Washington works – has been a lot of fun,” he said.
Other books written by Clinton include “My Life,” “Giving” and “Back to Work.”
